St. Vincent de Paul Society

“Charity is the cement which binds Communities to God and persons to one another.”

“We cannot better assure our eternal happiness than by living and dying in the service of the poor, in the arms of Providence, and with genuine renouncement of ourselves in order to follow Jesus Christ.”

“We must be full reservoirs in order to let our water spill out without becoming empty, and we must possess the spirit with which we want them to be animated, for no one can give what he does not have.”

– St. Vincent de Paul (1580-1660 A.D.)

Our services involve weekly staffing of our food pantry, providing “Care Notes” in the vestibule of the church, our yearly Baby Shower, participating in a St. Patrick’s Day party for the residents of Seaview Nursing Home, sending needy children to summer camp, transporting the residents of Seaview Nursing Home to Sunday Mass, sending greeting cards to parishioners in nursing homes, and serving Meals On Wheels.  For women and men interested in joining, we meet the second Tuesday of every month in the rectory.  If you are not able to join but wish to help, you can do so by making a donation in either of the poor boxes located in the vestibule of the church near the “Care Notes” and at the exit door behind the sacristy. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers to continue our charitable works.
